FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Boru Beauty?
Boru Beauty is a professional-grade eyelash conditioning serum built around a peptide complex — formulated for real, visible results without prostaglandin analogs. We are launching to licensed estheticians and lash professionals first, then to retail.
What makes Boru different from other lash serums?
Many of the best-known lash serums rely on a prostaglandin analog (an ingredient class some users associate with irritation, redness, darkening of the eyelid, and other sensitivities). Boru is prostaglandin-free by design. Instead, our formula is powered by a peptide and botanical complex chosen to support the look of longer, fuller, healthier lashes — a cleaner profile for sensitive eyes and for professionals who want to stand behind what they sell.
Is it safe for contact lens wearers and lash extensions?
Boru is being formulated for daily use around the eye area and undergoes independent eye-area safety and stability testing before launch. Full usage guidance — including extensions and contact lenses — will be published with the product. As always, follow the directions on the final label.
When does Boru launch?
We are in formulation and testing now, with a professional-channel launch planned for 2027. Join the launch list to be first to know — and to get early access.
Who can buy it?
At launch, Boru is sold to licensed estheticians, lash artists, and beauty professionals. A retail offering will follow. If you are a professional who wants to carry Boru, see our Boru Pro page.
Where is it made?
Boru is developed and manufactured in the United States with an established cosmetics lab, to current cosmetic safety and MoCRA standards.
What does the name mean?
It reaches back a thousand years — to Ó Muirthile, “the rising tide,” and to Brian Boru, the last High King of Ireland. Sea and crown. Read the full story on our Our Story page.
